Avionics interface solutions are constantly being sought as the National Aerospace System (NAS) requirements continue to advance. Today’s aircraft must be capable of using all the available Next Generation flight operations procedures in the airspace system.
Discovering the Solution
Thousands of aircraft are being modified to incorporate some or all of these capabilities. Data conversion is often necessary when integrating new components into an aircraft data bus. Often there is a requirement for data conversion to Arinc 429 from a specific aircraft data bus such as RSB, Arinc 1553, RS232, CSDB, or other data format. OnWing offers an easy-to-use tool that will help you with data bus testing and evaluation.
Dynamic Data Bus Capability
Engineers and technicians need easy-to-use equipment that can be quickly adapted to specific requirements. OnWing, in cooperation with an industrial partner Advanced Nuclide Technologies, has developed a tool that is simple and effective. Our modern data communicator provides the capability to read, integrate and transmit data. Two different units are available, the baseline Mark I Communicator providing the ability to read and transmit data as necessary and a more robust Mark II version necessary for complex integrations.
Options to Meet Your Requirements
Mark I
- Two Reading Channels
- One Transmitting Channel
- Reads all data transmitted, providing engineering units for most common ARINC 429 labels
- For un-decoded labels which are present, an optional update can be obtained to display actual engineering units.
Mark II
- Four Receiving Channels
- Two ARINC 429 Transmitting Channels
- Two Independent RS232 Transmitting and Receiving Channels
- All Data from RS232 can be converted into ARINC 429 and vis versa.
Designed to Help You Integrate Data
OnWing’s data communicator is small, field-upgradable, and able to record results. With long battery life, the unit can record all day long. Custom files can be supplied to upgrade the device to read out values for the specific aircraft systems. Designed to verify data and also for use as a data conversion development tool design retrofit solutions. With our design assistance, we can configure the device to meet your requirements.
We can help you with system data integration and design. Ultimately an onboard device can be delivered. Order a Mark I today. You can add functions or upgrade as necessary. Our expert staff can help you after purchase to achieve your data integration requirements.
